Xfinity X1 aggregates all the best experiences into one place, simply and easily for viewers and we’re excited to share some new features we’re adding to the platform in celebration of Pride Month this June, including the highly-anticipated launch of the Kids & Family collection within Xfinity On Demand’s LGBTQ Film & TV destination.

LGBTQ Film & TV on X1 celebrates and highlights the LGBTQ community, and the new Kids & Family collection is a first-of-its-kind home for youth-oriented LGBTQ entertainment for kids, tweens and teens. In addition to TV shows and movies, viewers will find unique curations that include educational content and programming recommendations from Common Sense Media and community voices Mombian and the Advocate.

Additional LGBTQ-focused features throughout the month include:

  • Here TV’s Annual Free Preview (6/1 – 6/7)
  • The release of critically acclaimed films such as “A Kid Like Jake,” “Love, Simon” and tons more
  • A new Community Recommendations collection from Family Equality Council
  • New Guest Editor picks from Jazz Jennings (“I Am Jazz”), Taylor Barrett (“Work in Progress”) and Troye Sivan (“Bloom”)
  • Featured content including select titles from Breaking Glass Pictures (“1:54,” “Handsome Devil,” “Rift”), 12 new Frameline Distribution films (“Suicide Kale,” “A Self-Made Man”), and more than 20 new “I’m from Driftwood” stories
  • Spotlights on LGBTQ innovators, change makers and rising stars featured on NBC OUT’s #Pride30 List

This announcement is just one example of our journey to make Comcast NBCUniversal one of the model companies for diversity and inclusion in corporate America. I am proud to work for a company where we celebrate our differences and our where our employees are encouraged to bring their unique, authentic selves to work every day. In recognition of those efforts, last year, Comcast NBCUniversal ranked #1 on Fortune’s list of The 100 Best Workplaces for Diversity. And this year, for the sixth consecutive year, we earned a score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign’s (HRC) 2018 Corporate Equality Index and were awarded for Business Equality Excellence in Business Equality Network’s Pride Magazine.

We look forward to celebrating Pride Month throughout June, but no matter the time of year, diverse and inclusive stories will always find a home on Xfinity.
