Comcast NBCUniversal stands with the LGBTQ+ community in celebrating Pride all year long. Pride is Universal
Leveraging Our Platforms
We are uniquely positioned to leverage our platforms to share stories from the LGBTQ+ community. From our representation in front of and behind the camera to our Xfinity LGBTQ+ Film & TV Collection – we are committed to giving our audiences experiences that celebrate pride all year long.
Xfinity LGBTQ+ Film & TV
For over a decade, Xfinity’s LGBTQ+ Film & TV Collection has celebrated and spread the joy of universal Pride by offering an unparalleled entertainment destination featuring community-recommended content. But Pride month doesn’t end in June with Xfinity. View all things Pride on X1, Flex, and Xfinity Stream year-round.
Comcast Newsmakers
Comcast Newsmakers will release new interviews with champions of the LGBTQ+ community, including Melanie Willingham-Jaggers, the first Black, nonbinary Executive Director of GLSEN. Conversations focus on issues including transgender and racial equity, LGBTQ+ business ownership, representation in STEM careers, and the state of equality today. Watch on all Xfinity platforms using the “Comcast Newsmakers” voice command.
Pride Is Universal
NBCUniversal’s “Pride Is Universal: Better Together” campaign commemorates a series of firsts from the LGBTQ+ community as we continue to change history and make progress – from gay marriage and job protections to NBCUniversal’s long history of breaking down barriers in entertainment.
Groundbreaking Programming
NBCUniversal has long been committed to LGBTQ+ representation such as the June 9 premiere of Queer as Folk on Peacock – which includes an all-queer writers’ room – to Bros, Universal’s upcoming film praised as being the first major studio film with an all openly LGBTQ+ cast.
Our Longstanding Commitment
Comcast NBCUniversal has been committed to supporting the LGBTQ+ community for decades through our public support, platforms, programming, employees, and more. Read more about our support through the years.
Employee Engagement
All month long and beyond, our employees are participating in activities to underscore our commitment to the LGBTQ+ community. Teammates will gather for educational sessions, Pride parades, movie screenings, and more throughout the country. This commitment spans decades, with the OUT Employee Resource Group (ERG) at NBCUniversal founded in 1986 as one of the nation’s first LGBTQ+ focused ERGs.
