After Year One, Xfinity Communities’ Advanced Communities Network Enhances Entertainment For More Than One Million Multifamily Residents
Philadelphia, PA.
Comcast today announced that, since launching its Xfinity Communities unit last year, more than one million residents of multifamily housing properties (condos, apartments, etc.) across 37 states are using Xfinity services delivered by the Advanced Communities Network (ACN).
Xfinity Communities, which sells, markets and maintains ACN to deliver high-speed Internet, Xfinity X1, the industry’s fastest Wi-Fi, home security and automation and phone services, cites growing demand for high-speed technology services from both prospective residents and building owners across the country as a key driver for its early success.
This milestone comes on the heels of Comcast and Madison Apartment Group announcing that the national leader in apartment property management has signed up 25 of its properties as Xfinity Communities. Madison Apartment Group joins other national multifamily owner groups like WinnProperties that have chosen to offer Xfinity services via ACN to their residents since the unit was first created in 2014.
Benefits of Xfinity Communities’ ACN include:
-
Better Network: Xfinity Communities’ ACN is powered by fiber technology, which allows building owners and property managers to offer the ultra-fast Internet and Wi-Fi speeds their residents demand. With fiber-to-the-building (FTTB) or fiber-to-the-unit (FTTU) solutions that can scale to gigabit speeds with customized packages or a DOCSIS-based deployment, residents of Xfinity Communities properties can watch videos, play games, download music, share photos and more using America's fastest Internet service.
-
Better Entertainment: Xfinity X1 gives residents a one-of-a-kind interactive experience so they can watch the latest TV shows, sports events and movies on multiple TVs, smartphones and tablets via Xfinity On Demand. They can also take their entertainment with them wherever they go with Xfinity TV Everywhere programming on the Xfinity TV app.
-
Better Service: As part of their service agreement, many Xfinity Communities and their residents have a dedicated Community Account Representative (CAR) for technical support or sales questions. These support personnel act as a concierge service for property management by helping to coordinate installations, troubleshoot disruptions, process service changes and assist with moving and property transfers, all while ensuring that residents get the best possible experience from their Xfinity services.
"The reality today is that residents take into consideration whether properties have access to the latest Internet, Wi-Fi, TV, home automation and voice technologies when deciding where to live. As a result, many leading apartment owners and property managers have looked to us to provide the cutting-edge services they need to keep their residents happy and stay ahead of the competition," said Michael Slovin, vice president, Xfinity Communities. "We’ve made tremendous strides since we first launched in 2014, and as we continue to grow this business, our top priorities are to provide an even better network, better entertainment options and better customer experience so we form long-lasting relationships with the property managers, building owners and residents we serve."
