"USA is truly honored to see the tremendous accomplishments of Greg, Laurence, Sigourney, Ellen and the entire cast and crew from Political Animals recognized by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences," said USA Network Co-Presidents Jeff Wachtel and Chris McCumber. One of USA’s most honored miniseries, Political Animals was also nominated for two Golden Globe Awards, a Screen Actors Guild Award, a Writers Guild Award and a Directors Guild Award.

From Executive Producer, Writer and Director Greg Berlanti and Executive Producer Laurence Mark, USA's critically acclaimed miniseries Political Animals pulls back the curtain on the polished façade of politics to reveal a fractured family. Despite intense public scrutiny, this dynasty can't escape the magnetic pull of the high stakes world of sex, greed and politics. The miniseries stars Sigourney Weaver, Carla Gugino, James Wolk, Sebastian Stan, Brittany Ishibashi, Ellen Burstyn and Ciarán Hinds and is from Berlanti Productions and Laurence Mark Productions in association with Warner Horizon Television. Berlanti wrote and directed the pilot and served as executive producer of the series with Mark and Sarah Caplan. Melissa Kellner Berman of Berlanti Productions co-executive produced.
