TODAY Notches Second Straight Win in Sweeps

TODAY posts its longest winning streak in more than 3 years. Season to date, TODAY is the No. 1 morning show in both A25-54 and A18-49.

TODAY was the number-one morning news show for the November 2015 sweep, topping Good Morning America in the key demo A25-54 every single day for the month. This marks TODAY's second straight sweep win (including July sweep 2015) and first November sweep win in four years, since 2011. TODAY topped GMA by 164k demo viewers, its largest sweep advantage over ABC since May 2012. TODAY posted its narrowest November sweep total viewer gap with GMA in four years, since 2011. TODAY also won the sweep in A18-49.

GMA is the only morning show down double digits for both the sweep and the season, suffering a 20 percent loss in the key demo and a 12 percent loss in total viewers for the sweep, and a 19 percent loss in the key demo and an 11 percent loss in total viewers for the season. Season to date, TODAY has radically cut its total viewer gap with GMA by 56 percent (by a whopping 419k) versus the same period last year.

For the week of Nov. 23, TODAY topped GMA by 91k in the key demo. TODAY's win marks 13 straight weeks in first place beating GMA in the key demo for 20 weeks this year. TODAY is also the number-one morning show in both A25-54 and A18-49 for the 2015 season, a first since 2011. TODAY remains the number-one show in A18-49 for the year.
