Starz Encore and Comcast Announce Bank Approval of Affiliation Agreement

Philadelphia, PA.

Starz Encore Group LLC (Starz Encore) and Comcast Cable said today Starz Encore has received all necessary bank approvals for its recently announced affiliation agreement with Comcast Corp. The agreement also resolves all litigation pending between Starz Encore and Comcast with respect to the agreement entered into between Starz Encore and AT&T Broadband.

"We are delighted at the speedy action by our lenders to approve our new agreement with Comcast," said Starz Encore Chairman, Founder and CEO John J. Sie. "We can now move full speed ahead to deliver to Comcast's customers a host of new services including Starz On Demand, Encore On Demand, STARZ! HD, and STARZ! Kids.
