Premium Gaming Service Launches With More Than 60 Game Titles That Leverage the Comcast High-Speed Internet Connection for High-Performance Fun

Comcast today announced the launch of Games on Demand, a premium games on-demand service, provided through an agreement with Exent Technologies, that lets consumers enjoy blockbuster games on the Comcast.net portal. Leveraging the power and convenience of Comcast High-Speed Internet, titles available through Games on Demand will offer single player and interactive gameplay across a wide range of genres. Available content will include everything from action games like Atari's "Dead Man's Hand"(TM) to educational games like Scholastic Media's "Clifford Thinking Adventures"(TM) and "I SPY Fantasy(TM)."

Games on Demand is designed to give consumers an unparalleled gaming experience with the choice and flexibility to play the games they like how and when they want. For $14.95 a month, subscribers can enjoy unlimited access to more than 60 games - without the hassle of rental late fees, and for significantly less than the cost of purchasing a single game via retail or online. Like other Comcast.net features, Games on Demand is a powerful, easy- to-use application, offering customers the ability to take advantage of the speed and reliability that come with a high-powered broadband connection to get PC CD-ROM games online with a single click.

Highlights of the new Games on Demand offering include:

-- Parental controls that provide tools to limit access
-- Remote configuration and support

-- New game titles added every month

-- Industry-leading streaming technology from Exent To further enhance the Games on Demand experience, G4techTV, Comcast's 24/7 television network about games, gadgets, gear and gigabytes, will soon provide Games on Demand with original content designed for players. This will include: video highlight clips from network series such as "X-Play," "Judgment Day," and "Sweat;" exclusive information from g4techtv.com including the latest gaming news, sneak previews and behind-the-scenes action as well as the pulse form the online gaming community on what's hot and what's not. "As a market-leading media and entertainment company, we provide the hottest on-demand content through as many channels as possible," said Greg Butz, Comcast senior vice president of marketing. "Games on Demand, a gaming on-demand service provided over Exent's technology, is a natural fit with the Comcast.net portal, and it further extends the value of the site for our customers. We recognize the importance of gaming in the world of entertainment, and we are revving up to give consumers a cool and enhanced gaming experience with the power of a high-speed network." "The launch of Comcast Games on Demand service signifies the tipping point for attractive content services. Exent is glad to make our turnkey solution and best practices available for Comcast," said Zvi Levgoren, CEO, Exent Technologies. "Mass broadband audiences can now enjoy a variety of AAA games from committed major publishers. Comcast's service, available to its users -- all broadband-enabled, will also help expand the games market by reaching new consumer audiences. This gives publishers a tremendous opportunity to leverage existing game catalogs, minimize the risk of investing in new titles and increase revenue opportunities by prolonging the life cycle of a game." Games on Demand is available through the Comcast.net Games Channel.
