Comcast Promotes Mark Swan To Director, New Business Development For The Digital Engineering Group

Comcast Cable, the country's leading cable and broadband communications provider, today announced that Mark Swan has been promoted to Director of New Business Development for the Digital Engineering Group.

In his new position, Swan will have responsibility for preparing business models to determine the financial feasibility of new products and services and evaluating their wide scale deployment.

"Mark has been an asset to our team," said Steve Heeb, vice president of Product and Business Development. "We look forward to the contributions his expertise will bring in this new position."

Swan joined Comcast in 1996, as an Operations Manager for Comcast Online and was responsible for system operations in the Baltimore area. In 1999, he was named National Operations Manager for Comcast Online and was instrumental in the overall deployment and management of system operations for the Online Division. Swan joined the Digital Engineering group in 2000 as a Project Manager of Digital TV, and was promoted to Senior Manager, New Business Development in 2001.

Swan holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD and an M.B.A. from Drexel University. He currently resides in Havertown with his wife and son.
