Comcast Promotes David Cleary To Director of Software Development

Comcast Cable, the country's leading cable and broadband communications provider, today announced that David Cleary has been promoted to Director of Software Development for the company's Digital Engineering department.

In this position, Cleary, who joined Comcast in 2001 as Project Manager for the Digital Engineering department, will have expanded responsibility for managing the company's digital set-top software platforms, which will facilitate new interactive products and features for Comcast's Digital Cable service. He will oversee the development of product requirements and manage the software development process. In addition, he will assist in the launch of new digital products and services.

"Dave has a great knowledge of new product development in the interactive television space, and help position Comcast for the future is a great asset to help position Comcast for the future," said Steve Heeb, Vice President, Product and Business Development. "We look forward to his contributions."

Cleary holds an MBA from Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia and a BSEE from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. He currently resides in Glen Mills, Pa., with his wife and three children.
