Comcast Names Kathryn A. Zachem Vice President Regulatory Affairs, Comcast Corporation and Senior Vice President Regulatory Affairs, Comcast Cable

Comcast Corporation (Nasdaq: CMCSA, CMCSK), the country's leading cable, entertainment and communications company, today announced that Kathryn A. Zachem will join Comcast Corporation as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, and Senior Vice President of Regulatory Affairs for Comcast Cable, effective February 1, 2008. In this role, Ms. Zachem will oversee all of the company's regulatory efforts, and will be based in Comcast's Washington, DC office, reporting to David L. Cohen, Comcast Executive Vice President.
Cohen said, "Kathy has a terrific background with broad federal and state regulatory experience. She will be an outstanding leader of our strong regulatory affairs team and a fantastic addition to our Washington office. Ms. Zachem joins Comcast from the law firm Wilkinson Barker Knauer, LLP where she was a partner and practiced communications law for 23 years. During that time, she represented clients from nearly every segment of the communications sector including media, wireline, wireless, satellite, and internet service providers. She is listed in Chambers USA (2007) as one of the top-forty leading lawyers in the Telecom, Broadcast and Satellite fields. She was just recently named by Washingtonian Magazine, as one of "Washington's Best" lawyers practicing before the Federal Communications Commission. Ms Zachem is an active member of the Federal Communications Bar Association, currently serving on its Executive Committee. She is a recipient of the Association's Distinguished Service Award.
Ms. Zachem received her law degree from the George Mason University School of Law and her Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Political Science from The George Washington University. She is admitted to practice law in Virginia and the District of Columbia. She resides in Arlington, Virginia with her husband Dan and daughter Alex.
