Comcast Names John Vonk Vice President of Marketing, Core Video Products

Comcast Cable, the country's leading cable and broadband communications provider, today announced that John Vonk has been named Vice President of Marketing, Core Video Products.
Vonk, who joined Comcast in 2002 as Vice President of Marketing for Comcast's Western Division will be responsible for directing marketing strategy for the company's video services, focusing on customer acquisitions, retention and competitive marketing initiatives. He previously served as Vice President of Marketing for AT&T Broadband's Washington market and Vice President for Market Strategy Development for MediaOne Group. Prior to joining the cable industry, Vonk was a principal for the firm of Booz, Allen & Hamilton in San Francisco, Calif., where he consulted on business development efforts for Universal Studios, USA, the Sci-Fi Network, NBC and various other entertainment companies.

Vonk holds a B.S. in Business from San Francisco State University and an M.B.A from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business. He will be relocating to the Philadelphia area.
