Comcast Names Doug Gaston Vice President and Deputy General Counsel

Comcast Cable Communications, Inc. today announced that Doug Gaston has been promoted to Vice President and Deputy General Counsel.
In this newly created position, Gaston will assume additional administrative duties within the company's Legal department while continuing to represent and advise Comcast Cable management on legal and regulatory issues. Prior to this appointment, he served as Deputy General Counsel.
"Doug's advice is sought and respected throughout the company," said Tom Nathan, senior vice president and general counsel for Comcast Cable. "His enthusiasm, commitment and sound judgment have been and will continue to be instrumental to the company's success."
Gaston joined Comcast in 1996 as Assistant Deputy General Counsel and was promoted to Deputy General Counsel in January 2000.
A resident of Philadelphia, Gaston received his Juris Doctorate Degree from Villanova University School of Law. He also holds a B.A. in Radio, Television and Film Production from Temple University.
