Comcast Names Deborah Buhles as Director of Corporate Travel

 Comcast Corporation announced that Deborah Buhles is joining the company today as director of corporate travel. She will be responsible for developing and maintaining a company-wide travel program, including coordinating services from travel agency, corporate card, airline, hotel, car rental, and meeting planning providers, and negotiating cost-saving arrangements.

Buhles previously served as corporate travel manager, and manager of innovation-supply chain management for Capital One in Glen Allen, VA, where she managed a $45 million annual travel budget and developed and managed supplier management programs to improve supplier performance, quality and savings. Prior to that she served as a purchasing agent with the Computer Task Group in Buffalo, NY and a reservations sales center supervisor for Budget Car and Truck Rental in Buffalo. She will report to Comcast Vice President of Administration Karen Dougherty Buchholz in the company's Philadelphia office.

"Deborah's experience with the travel industry, her procurement background, and her enthusiasm make her the ideal person to oversee the development of our travel operations to save money and better serve our employees during their business travel," Buchholz said.

Buhles received her BS in Business Administration from State University of New York at Buffalo, and became a Certified Corporate Travel Executive (CCTE) at the National Business Travel Association at Cornell University.
