Comcast Names Allen Gomez Director of Public Affairs and Executive Director of the Comcast Foundation
Comcast Corporation, the nation's leading provider of cable and entertainment services, today announced that Allen Gomez has joined the company as Director, Public Affairs and Executive Director, The Comcast Foundation. In this role, Gomez will be responsible for the day-to-day activity of The Comcast Foundation, including the grant process, reports, budgets and communications.
Gomez joins Comcast from Washington Mutual, where he served as Vice President & Regional Corporate Giving Manager, and oversaw a $7 million corporate giving budget. Prior to joining Washington Mutual, Gomez held positions at the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation in New York City and the William Penn Foundation in Philadelphia.

Gomez is a graduate of the State University of New York Purchase and holds a master's degree in Public Administration from Rutgers University. He will be relocating to Philadelphia from New York City, where he serves as board member of the New York Regional Association of Grantmakers and Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone, and as advisory committee member of the Hispanic Federation.
