Comcast Introduces Its First Multiplatform Hispanic Film Festival, Offering Award-Winning Movies For Free to XFINITY Digital Customers on Xfinity On Demand And Xfinity.Com/LatinoTV

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Comcast is offering its first-ever multiplatform Hispanic Film Festival, featuring 20 Spanish-language award-winning and independent films from Latin America and Spain on Xfinity On Demand and Xfinity.com/latinotv.  The offering is available for free to Xfinity digital video customers beginning today and runs through Oct. 15. 

"We assembled this collection of highly acclaimed films to give Hispanic customers even more relevant choices to enjoy on XfinityTV, all available for free to view whenever and however they want," said Marcien Jenckes, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Video Services for Comcast. "Comcast is dedicated to serving the Hispanic community with superior content and tailored programming on multiple platforms." 

In addition to the Hispanic Film Festival movie offering, customers also will be able to watch specials that highlight the people, landscape, cuisine and music of Latin America - including features on some of the top Hispanic entertainers from around the world. 

Comcast Hispanic Heritage Month programming highlights includes:

• Children's programming and activities: including Dora the Explorer and Baby Genius in Spanish.

Comcast digital video customers will have access to this special programming through October 15. Each month, Comcast brings Hispanic viewers hundreds of programming choices every day, including movies, music, TV series and kids' shows along with Hispanic broadcast and cable channels.  Recently Comcast more than tripled its Hispanic video-on-demand offerings and today offers more than 60 Hispanic cable networks - the largest Spanish-language network package of any cable or satellite provider - in many major markets across the U.S.  In addition Comcast offers all new release movies in Spanish using SAP. The company's Hispanic Heritage Month lineup is part of its commitment to offer a wide selection of multicultural programming and deliver more choice to its customers through its XfinityTV services. Comcast also recently launched http://www.xfinity.com/latinoTV, a Spanish-language entertainment Internet portal with access to more than 500 Hispanic video choices online for customers to watch anywhere.
