Comcast Cable Promotes Mark Swan
Philadelphia, PA.
Comcast Cable, the country's leading provider of cable, entertainment and communications products and services, announced today that Mark Swan has been promoted to Vice President of Product and Business Development for Consumer Premise Equipment.
"Mark has played a key role in leading our commitment to continuously develop, enhance and position Comcast's industry-leading video products and services," said Mark Hess, Senior Vice President of Digital Television. "His strategic insight and forward thinking about the products and services consumers want will help us continue to add more value to our Digital Cable services."
In his new position, Swan will continue to manage business relationships with technology partners to develop new cable set-top box hardware and associated video products, including digital video recorders and home-networking products. He also will focus on the strategic development of new products that will enhance Comcast's Digital Cable offerings.
Swan joined Comcast in 1996 and most recently served as Senior Director of New Business Development. In that role, he was responsible for securing business agreements for digital television products, including set-top box hardware and software, new applications and other new products. Swan evaluated technologies and prepared strategic business models for new product and service implementation.
Swan holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Maryland and an M.B.A. from Drexel University. He resides in Havertown with his family.
