Comcast Cable Promotes Kavita Vazirani to Vice President of Marketing Media Services
Comcast Cable, the country's leading entertainment and communications company, today announced that Kavita Vazirani has been promoted
to Vice President of Marketing Media Services. Vazirani, who joined Comcast in 1997, will have continued responsibility for
overseeing the company's media strategies, including managing national media
planning and buying. She also will continue to supervise media and traffic operations
for Comcast's National Marketing Interconnect (NMI). The NMI enables Comcast
to leverage its cable cross- channel advertising assets by providing a single
point of entry to promote the company's products and services.
"Kavita has been instrumental in developing processes and procedures for
managing national media planning and buying in multiple markets," said
Dave Watson, Executive Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Customer Service.
"Her experience, skills and vision will help Comcast continue to excel
in our efforts to demonstrate the value of the company's products and services."
Vazirani holds a B.A. in Broadcasting from Columbia College in Chicago and
an M.A. in Professional Communications from La Salle University and also has
successfully completed Comcast's Executive Leadership Forum. She is a recipient
of the Dale Carnegie Human Relations and Special Achievement Awards and is a
member of Cable Television Association for Marketing (CTAM) and Women in Cable
and Telecommunications (WICT). She resides in Hatfield.
