Comcast Cable Announces Promotion of Doug Gaston to Senior Vice President and General Counsel

Comcast Cable announced today that Doug Gaston has been promoted to Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Comcast Cable, and will lead the cable law department. Mr. Gaston, who has been an attorney at Comcast for eight years, will report to Mike Tallent, Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration of Comcast Cable, and Art Block, Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Comcast Corporation. 

"Doug is an outstanding and experienced senior lawyer for Comcast, and we know he will make a great General Counsel for Comcast Cable," said Steve Burke, Chief Operating Officer of Comcast Corporation and President of Comcast Cable. "Doug has the respect of everyone in the law department and all of our business people and he is ready to take on the added challenge of leading Comcast Cable's law department." 

Mr. Gaston currently serves as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of Comcast Cable, where he is responsible for overseeing the Operations Section of the cable law department. Before joining Comcast, Mr. Gaston was a corporate associate at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, LLP. Mr. Gaston is a graduate of Temple University and Villanova University Law School. "I look forward to the opportunity to lead the cable law department," said Mr. Gaston. "It is truly a privilege to work with so many talented lawyers who support the business activities of Comcast Cable." Gaston replaces Terry S. Bienstock, who has decided to leave the Company and establish a legal practice and consulting firm to service the cable industry.
