Comcast Announces Two Key Marketing Appointments

Philadelphia, PA.

Comcast Cable Communications, Inc., the country's leading cable and broadband communications provider, today announced that Bonnie L. Cleaver has been named Senior Director, New Product Development, and Kelli Whitfield has been promoted to Director, New Video Product Development.

"Kelli and Bonnie have been instrumental in helping us add value to Comcast's digital cable service," said Page Thompson, Vice President of Marketing, New Video Products. "In an increasingly competitive marketplace, their drive, commitment and experience will continue to help us maximize digital penetration, and I'm delighted to have them as part of our management team."

In her new position, Cleaver will lead the development and deployment of strategic marketing initiatives for high-definition television (HDTV) service and additional new video products throughout Comcast's service area. She previously served as National Director of Digital Products for Comcast from 1999 to 2001, leading the development of video products including digital cable and interactive program guides (IPGs). She most recently served as an independent consultant. Prior to joining Comcast in 1999, she held several key management positions with Jones Intercable, Inc., in Englewood, Colo.

Cleaver holds an M.B.A. in Finance from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver and a B.A. in Mathematics from Clark University in Worcester, Mass. A member of Women in Cable and Telecommunications (WICT) and the Cable Television Association for Marketing (CTAM), she currently resides in the Philadelphia area.

In her new role, Whitfield will continue to be responsible for strategic leadership in the development and deployment of video on demand (VOD) and interactive television (ITV) applications. She joined Comcast in 2001 as National Manager, Business Development, and previously served as Manager of Business Development for GE Americom.

Whitfield holds a B.S. in Finance from Penn State University and an M.B.A. in Marketing and Strategic Management from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She currently resides in Philadelphia.
