Comcast Activity TV Announces Results of 2009 Halloween Survey

Comcast announced the findings of its "2009 Halloween Activity TV Survey", an independent nationwide survey*, polling youngsters about what's hot and what's not this Halloween with Hannah Montana squeaking by President Obama as their top choice for Halloween mask. Comcast also revealed its "Halloween Movie Fest Collection" On Demand, which features more than 80 top horror hits including everything from Friday the 13th films to pop culture favorite Twilight featuring exclusive scenes from the new film New Moon

Activity TV 2009 Halloween Survey
Activity TV, a Comcast On Demand network, hosted the Halloween survey at www.activitytv.com and culled the opinions of more than 600 youngsters on all things pertaining to the season of scary. In addition to the Hannah Montana/President Obama mask favorites, Britney Spears, Star Wars characters and the Jonas Brothers ranked third, fourth and fifth respectively.  Others mentioned were Batman, Spider-man and Zac Efron.  

The top Halloween treats to make kids gag this year were brussels sprouts (48%), black licorice (25%), candy corn (11%), raisins (9%) and an apple (7%). 

The best Halloween tricks that gets the loudest scream this year were "shocking my grandparents by hiding in their closet" (29%), "faking out a friend by putting ketchup on my shirt" (26%), "leaving glue on a door knob" (25%) and "toilet papering someone's front lawn" (20%).

To help make this Halloween one to remember, Comcast will also feature how-to programming called Gross Out Crafts on Comcast Activity TV.  Activity TV's Gross Out Crafts provides video instruction for more than 30 Halloween activities for kids ages six to ten and includes activities such as art, magic tricks, cooking and more.  For example, kids can learn how to do everything from create a delicious Kitty Litter Cake to "faking" a broken finger.

In addition to Halloween activities, Comcast Digital Preferred customers have access to more than 80 classic and contemporary Halloween movies now available in the Horror Movie Fest folder On Demand, which includes freak out favorites like:
