William R. Stemper is the President of Comcast Business. In this role he oversees Comcast’s business services division, the largest contributor to the growth of Comcast Cable that provides a suite of Connectivity, Communications, Networking, Cybersecurity, Wireless and Managed Solutions to businesses of all sizes including Fortune 100 and the Federal Government. Powered by the nation’s largest Gig-speed broadband network, and backed by 24/7 customer support, Comcast Business is the nation’s largest cable provider to small and mid-size businesses and one of the leading service providers to the Enterprise market.
Comcast Business launched in 2006 serving the telecommunications needs of businesses throughout the US. Under Bill’s leadership, Comcast Business revenue has a 25% CAGR over 15 years—from $265M in 2006 to nearly $10B in 2022. Comcast Business has been consistently recognized by industry analysts and associations as a leader and innovator, and one of the fastest growing providers of software-defined networking services.
Bill has more than 30 years of global telecommunications leadership experience and an outstanding record of successfully delivering high-value solutions for business customers. He previously served as Vice President of Cox Business Services for Cox Communications in Atlanta, where he more than doubled the size of their business market in less than three years. Bill also held key executive positions for AT&T that focused on serving the needs of business customers in the United States and Europe.
Bill is active in supporting the advancement of education and serves on the board of Marquette University, Cabrini University and champions Comcast’s sponsorship of Cristo Rey Philadelphia. He holds an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Marquette University.
