Stephen was appointed Chief Executive, UK and Ireland in March 2016. He has been with Sky for 12 years and has delivered much of the product diversification strategy that Sky embarked on over the last decade, either leading or was part of the launch team that delivered Sky Broadband and Talk, Sky Fibre, Sky Q, Sky+HD, Sky On Demand, Sky Go, Sky Box Sets, Sky 3D, Sky Cinema, Sky Sports F1, Sky Sports Mix and NowTV. He also had overall responsibility for bringing Sky Mobile to market.

Prior to Chief Executive he was Chief Marketing, Sales and Digital Officer for over two years, following three years as Managing Director, Sales and Marketing. Prior to that he had a number of different product and marketing roles in Sky’s Sales & Marketing Group.

Stephen also spent 2 years at Virgin Media and worked in both Group Strategy and Product Strategy. Prior to that he worked in mainly digital roles at News UK. Prior to that he worked at Accenture in London and in Australia in Strategic Services.

Stephen holds a BComm and LLLB from Bond University, Australia and a PDC from Wharton, Pennsylvania.
