Jon Friedman serves as Vice President of Strategy for Comcast Corporation.  In this role, he leads key growth initiatives for Comcast and NBCUniversal with a focus on creating new businesses both domestically and internationally.  Jon also partners closely with the business units on opportunities within existing businesses.  Jon co-led the creation of the Enterprise BU (serving Fortune 1000 customers), helped drive the initial effort to license the X1 platform, and supported Comcast’s 5G wireless strategy.

Prior to joining Comcast, Jon spent seven years at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG).  While there, he served as a Principal in the Telecom and Media Group.  Jon led strategic transformations for Fortune 500 companies; focusing on creating new business lines, building go-to market capabilities and M&A.  He also helped create the firm’s cable practice.  Jon won awards for people development and intellectual leadership.   

Jon earned his MBA from Duke University where he graduated as a Fuqua Scholar; and his B.S. with Phi Beta Kappa in Anthropology and Human Biology from Emory University.  Jon serves on the Board of Directors for Perelman Jewish Day School.  He lives in Penn Valley, Pennsylvania with his wife and three children.
