This award is presented to a corporation that has championed Hispanic enterprise and has effectively integrated small business into its strategic supply chain, demonstrating that diversity and inclusion initiatives are both principled and profitable.
  • The Minority Business News USA team recognized Comcast NBCUniversal among the 2016 Corporate 101: America’s Most Admired Corporations for Supplier Diversity.
  • In an October 4, 2016, ceremony, the Southern California Minority Supplier Development Council (SCMSDC) awarded Comcast NBCUniversal its 2016 Community Visionary Award, recognizing Comcast NBCUniversal’s proven achievements in supplier diversity and innovative best practices, positively impacting the growth of minority-owned businesses.
  • Comcast NBCUniversal was recognized by the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) with its 2016 Excellence in Multicultural Marketing Awards (EMMA), garnering 19 top awards across Case Studies, Campaigns, and Marketing Tactics. These awards recognize excellence in marketing designed to reach culturally diverse audiences and customers among African American, Asian, Hispanic, and other market segments.
  • On February 12, 2016, Universal Orlando’s Supplier Diversity team won the Hispanic Chamber of Metro Orlando’s Corporate Procurement Group of the Year Award.
  • NBCUniversal received a number of nominations for the 31st Annual Imagen Awards, including Best Primetime Television Drama for Shades of Blue and Best Primetime Television Comedy for Brooklyn Nine-Nine. This is the only Latino entertainment awards event dedicated to honoring the positive portrayal and creative excellence of Latinos and Latino cultures in television and film.
  • In 2016, for the third time, Points of Light named Comcast NBCUniversal among the most community-minded companies in the nation as part of The Civic 50, an initiative that sets the standard for corporate civic engagement. Honorees were selected based on four dimensions of their U.S. community engagement programs, including investment, integration, institutionalization, and impact. The company was honored for using our global media and technology assets to help connect and strengthen local communities, with a focus on programs supporting digital literacy, encouraging community service, and building tomorrow’s leaders.
