Spring is here and it's great to be outdoors again. When I'm out and about, I love being able to check email, upload photos to Facebook and videos to YouTube...even moreso when there's a convenient, secure WiFi connection in range. Perhaps you do, too. And if you're a Comcast customer in the Philadelphia area, this just got easier, giving you peace of mind when you're accessing and sharing information on the go.
Comcast has just deployed a new "Automatic Sign In" feature that makes using our XFINITY WiFi hotspots easier than ever. When signing in to the network for the first time, customers will continue to use their Comcast IDs and passwords. Then, after the initial sign in, customers' WiFi-enabled devices will now automatically connect to the network without having to repeat the sign in process. This has been one of the top requests from our customers and will make accessing the thousands of hotspots in the network easier and faster than ever before. For security purposes, customers are required to reenter their credentials 30 days after the initial sign in.
In addition to automatic sign in, the WiFi team has been busy deploying several hundred hotspots in the Philadelphia area, including great locations such as the Wells Fargo Center and South Street. To learn more about XFINITY WiFi, including a detailed location map, go to xfinity.com/wifi.
