On March 31, Xfinity TV wrapped up Watchathon Week, the biggest TV catch-up in history with nearly 4,000 hours of incredible TV series content available from more than 30 programmers, including premium, cable and broadcast networks. Xfinity TV customers made Watchathon a huge success – not just tuning in, but also buzzing about their favorite binge viewing sessions on social media. Some customers reported staying up all night to watch every episode of Game of Thrones, others cancelling plans to stay home and watch Dexter. They engaged on all platforms and shared their passion for TV, so much so that we saw double-digit percentage increase in views. Xfinity TV customers also made Watchathon the biggest viewership week across platforms in Video On Demand’s ten-year history. This new level of engagement is a major milestone -- and as we continue to collect and explore the data (which we’ll be talking about more in the near future), it is clear that customers are turning to Xfinity On Demand to catch-up and keep up with TVs hottest, current shows.
Xfinity On Demand delivers the most exciting and recent TV series content available anywhere. And beginning April 2, Xfinity TV is launching a new, weekly TV catch-up feature on a mix of current and past season episodes of a hit show or shows.
Kicking things off from April 2-8, Xfinity TV customers can catch-up on every episode of the current season of NBC’s Grimm. One of the fall’s hottest new series, Grimm follows in the modern-day footsteps of the original fairy tales and is enthralling audiences with its exciting supernatural storylines.
After that, Xfinity TV will offer customers access to catch-up on episodes of a rotating weekly series or network through the end of the year. TV’s biggest, current hits, like Duck Dynasty, will be a part of the featured content offered to Xfinity TV customers.
