Xfinity on Campus gives students the video content they love, on the device of their choice. As we get ready for another back-to-school season, we’re thrilled to announce that more than 100 colleges and universities are now enrolled in the service—nearly a 60% increase over last year. And this year, we’ve made the service even more compelling for students by giving them a new way to watch.
In addition to their phones, tablets and laptops, students can now access Xfinity on Campus via Roku players—another great example of the X1 platform’s ability to constantly evolve to meet the needs of this generation and their viewing preferences, as well as our commitment to offering them the best entertainment experiences across devices.
This past Spring, Xfinity on Campus students watched a wide range of content including current and buzzed-about TV shows, live sports and hit movies. Among the most watched programs were The NBA playoffs, Sports Center, Grey’s Anatomy, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and the Emmy-nominated sitcom This is Us, to name a few. In addition to these favorites, students had access to 80 live networks, tens of thousands of on demand choices, and a cloud DVR.
This year, students at Albertus Magnus College, Florida State University, Indiana University Bloomington, Penn State’s University Park, Santa Clara University, Stockton University, University of Maryland, UMass Lowell, University of Minnesota, University of New Mexico, and Wesleyan University among others, will be introduced to many of the same features our residential X1 and Xfinity Stream customers already love — easy, instant access to live TV, on demand and the ability to watch recordings they love most wherever and whenever they want to.
