This is my favorite time of year. The Masters!
This is an exciting week for Golf Channel and it is also the return of Tiger Woods, which makes the week that much more special. There are ups and downs this week in Augusta including the goodbye to Gary Player, a three-time champion, playing in his 52nd Masters (thanks for the memories Gary! Your class and competition will always be remembered), the anniversary of one my favorites, Fuzzy Zoeller, celebrating his 30th anniversary of winning the Masters in his very first try and the return of Greg Norman, who has given us many memories at Augusta National. This is a week of remembering all of those Sundays, glued to our seats, reminiscing about what was and what could be! Who could ever forget Jack Nicklaus in 1986? It brings me chills!
This will be a week of more excitement and most of my recent memories have been provided by Tiger Woods. His amazing win two weeks ago at the Arnold Palmer Invitational was one for the ages. I suspect he has a plan for this week that will have us all on the edge of our seats by Sunday. Oh what a week, I simply can’t wait.
Golf Channel will broadcast "LIVE from the Masters" today and we’ll have complete coverage of the Masters at golfchannel.com.
PS: While you’re waiting, watch "The Haney Project: Charles Barkley" on Golf Channel, every Monday at 9 pm ET. The combination of Haney, who is best known as Tiger Woods’ swing coach and former NBA star Barkley, is entertaining and very funny!
