I don’t know about you, but I grew up watching lots and lots of PBS (my local PBS station was Thirteen/WNET), and they made a lifetime viewer out of me. I might not be in New York anymore, but I’m still watching PBS, and now I can watch even more of it (when I want to watch it) in HD, thanks to On Demand. Yes, some PBS shows are now available On Demand in HD.
Whether you’re trying to guess how much that beat up table is worth on Antiques Roadshow, or learning about the Car of the Future on Nova you can’t beat watching it in HD. Now, I know what you’re thinking, "So much of the appeal of PBS is that the stations are local." That’s why the On Demand menu button (found under "HD On Demand" and then "History and Nature") will sport a local PBS station’s branding.
You’ll find the following PBS shows On Demand:
- Antiques Roadshow
- Nova
- Masterpiece
- History Detectives
- Frontline
And remember, On Demand was made for viewers like you (see what I did there?).
