NBC Sports will cover 103 NHL regular-season games during the 2013-14 season, featuring 13 games on NBC and 90 games on NBC Sports Network. All games will be streamed live via NBC Sports Live Extra, the most ever streamed. The vast majority of games will be streamed via "TV Everywhere," and made available to customers both in and out of the home and on multiple platforms.
The puck drops on October 1st.
Fans can look forward to 2013-14 season highlights including the 2014 NHL Winter Classic at Michigan Stadium between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Detroit Red Wings, and the inaugural NHL Stadium Series, featuring four games played in iconic outdoor venues --Dodger Stadium, Yankee Stadium, Soldier Field and BC Place in Vancouver, B.C.
Fierce rivalries and rematches also return next season to NBC platforms: Wednesday Night Rivalry features 24 games during the 2013-14 NHL season on NBC Sports Network, up from 15 last year; the Blackhawks and Bruins face off in a Stanley Cup rematch; and Eastern and Western Conference Final rematches will take place between the Bruins and Penguins and Kings and Blackhawks.
After the most-watched Stanley Cup on record, 2013-14 looks to be an intense campaign for the Cup.
