On January 13, 2013, Universal Pictures’ Les Misérables took home three top awards at the 2013 Golden Globes. Winning for Best Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Actor – Musical or Comedy (Hugh Jackman) and Best Supporting Actress – Musical or Comedy (Anne Hathaway), the film received more awards than any other movie.
The 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards aired on NBC and were hosted by Tina Fey (NBC’s 30 Rock) and Amy Poehler (NBC’s Parks & Recreation). The 2013 Golden Globes awards delivered 19.7 million viewers overall and a 6.4 rating among adults 18-49 — up 28 percent in this important demographic from 2012. The January 2013 telecast was the most successful Globes since 2007 among total viewers and the valuable adult demographic.
