The most anticipated television event of the year is upon us, and we're prepared to bring our customers every minute and every medal event across every screen, at home or on-the-go. NBCUniversal is delivering an unprecedented viewing experience for consumers with more coverage than ever before, on more screens than ever before. To complement the extraordinary programming that NBCU is providing across multiple screens, we've created a comprehensive viewing experience of the 2012 London Olympic Games for our customers that's like no other in history. We have worked with NBCUniversal to develop Olympic-themed experiences, features and tools to view and enjoy the 2012 Olympic Games on multiple devices.

Of course, you can sit back and enjoy all the action in vivid HD on your family room big-screen TV with Olympics coverage available across nine NBC networks including a dedicated soccer and basketball channel as well as 3D coverage on our Xfinity 3D channel. Here are just a few other ways we're making it easy and fun for Xfinity TV customers to immerse themselves in the Olympic Games experience:

  • Online, we've launched a new microsite, the Ultimate Viewer's Guide, a one-stop destination that gives users easy access to live streaming events, schedules and the latest news and highlights. From the site, customers can also record Olympic events on their DVR, instantly search for athletes and sports or change the TV channel, or tune to recaps and what?s to come on Xfinity On Demand. Be sure to check back often, as this site will become much more robust as we get closer to the Games.

  • On smartphones and tablets, we've built additional second-screen experiences through the Xfinity TV app and the Xfinity TV Sports Remote app, where you can get at-a-glance Olympics TV listings by sport and in 30-minute programming increments, record events and change channels, and link to NBC's Olympics apps.

  • For live streaming of Olympic events, Xfinity TV customer can also link directly to NBCOlympics.com and NBC's Live Extra App (3,500 hours of live streaming across all 32 sports and 302 events), or to get the latest news and information from the Games, customers can also go to the NBC Olympics App.

  • On VOD, we will have more than 200 hours of Olympics coverage our customers can enjoy before, during and after the Games. Our pre-Games content consists of memorable Olympic moments, an introduction to London, and profiles of athletes competing in these Games, as well as highlights of the most popular Trials. As the Games unfold, our customers will be able to see every medal-winning performance through full-event replays, highlights and the Top 5 Xfinity Moments. They can also catch a daily recap hosted by Bob Costas to guide them to must-see events from the previous day.As the Games come to a close, our customers will be able to relive their favorite Olympic moments for two weeks after the Closing Ceremonies.

We also partnered with NBCUniversal to make it easy for customers to sign-in and start watching the 3,500 hours of live streaming programming from all 32 sports including everything from gymnastics to track and field to tennis. One way we've done this is that we've deployed automatic in-home verification for our customers, which means when the vast majority of Xfinity video subscribers are at home using their Xfinity High-Speed Internet service, they can be seamlessly logged in to view the Olympics online or on a mobile device without having to enter a username or password.

We hope these new tools and ways to watch the Olympics will enable our customers to get the most out of the Olympic Games. This week, look to Xfinity TV as your "virtual passport" to London, so you won't miss an Olympic moment.
