This year, the NCAA men’s basketball tournament had the highest average ratings in 22 years and broke viewership records across all platforms as record numbers of basketball fans tuned in on the big screen, on mobile devices and computers to catch all the thrills and upsets of 68 teams competing for the national title.
Across Xfinity TV platforms, the Big Dance drew record-breaking consumption once again with 1.6 million live streams of tournament play across Xfinity TV Go platforms, up 119 percent from last year.
But the highly anticipated Final Four, featuring some of the biggest names in college basketball, drew the greatest demand. TVE viewership across Xfinity TV Go platforms skyrocketed, up 292 percent year over year with nearly 330,000 total live streams for the action-packed semifinal games.
