On the heels of the movie’s global box office success, The Lego Movie became the Xfinity Digital Store’s best-selling title in its first week as a new release.
The Lego Movie was just one of many movies on sale to purchase during the Xfinity Digital Store’s week-long kids movie sale. During the week, nearly 100 family-friendly movies were available to own at a discounted rate and helped propel the week to the most successful week ever for the Xfinity Digital Store.
The Xfinity Digital Store just celebrated its six-month anniversary since its launch in December 2013. By removing the hassle of managing files, connecting devices or remembering passwords, the store makes owning and watching digital content simple and fun. Xfinity TV customers can purchase films and TV shows directly though the Xfinity On Demand menu on the set-top box, or buy online at Xfinity.com/Store. Once purchased, the movies can be enjoyed anywhere, anytime, on a customer’s TV, online or through the Xfinity On Demand Purchases app. Owned content can even be downloaded directly to customer’s devices to watch without an Internet connection.
The Xfinity Digital Store catalog includes hundreds of movies and TV shows from Twentieth Century Fox, Lionsgate, MGM, NBCUniversal, Sony Pictures and Warner Bros. It not only offers Xfinity TV customers the convenience of purchasing and viewing digital content directly on the TV, but it seamlessly integrates that owned content into the robust library of free On Demand and live programming that is available with their subscription.
