In a week where we are celebrating 50 years of Comcast’s entrepreneurial spirit and business achievements, I’m excited to announce some new additions to that lengthy list: Comcast Business has been awarded three Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) Carrier Ethernet Awards, including the prestigious Service Provider of the Year for North America.

We’ve also been awarded Best Marketing based on the results of our integrated Ethernet campaigns to help customers understand the benefits of Ethernet and Best Carrier Ethernet Business Application for our work with the Denver Broncos using Ethernet to create a more connected and immersive game day experience for fans and accelerating the team’s football operations.

The MEF’s Carrier Ethernet Awards are designed to celebrate excellence and leadership in the development, marketing and delivery of Ethernet services. And given that MEF is the global standards body responsible for defining the future of Ethernet and the judges were all senior analysts from IDC, Infonetics, Vertical Systems Group, Gartner, Frost & Sullivan and Ovum, winning these awards is a powerful statement that validates Comcast’s investment in our network built for business, delivering the benefits of Ethernet to enterprise customers across the country.

What do I attribute our success to? Our dedicated team of business experts that has a singular focus on building, monitoring and supporting Ethernet solutions for our customers.

Each week we announce more customers who made the move to our Ethernet services to help transform their business, from major sports teams like the World Series Champion Boston Red Sox to Atlanta-based Grady Health System, one of the largest public health systems in the U.S., and McMenamins, a diverse hospitality and entertainment company with 57 locations across Oregon and Washington. I’m proud of our team and excited for this recognition from the MEF, and we’re just getting started. Our goal is educate customers on the many benefits of Ethernet, and why they should consider us, the North America Ethernet Service Provider of the Year.
