Comcast has been honored by the Television Academy with an Emmy Award for the X1 Entertainment Operating System. The award is for Outstanding Achievement in Interactive Media Program: User Experience and Visual Design for XFINITY TV On The X1 Platform.

The Television Academy announced the award on August 13 at the Interactive Media Peer Group’s nominee reception.  The award will be presented, along with five others in this category, at the 2014 Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Saturday, August 16, at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE, and air on Sunday, August 24, at 8pm (ET) and 10pm (ET) on Fox Movie Channel.

Tom Loretan, Vice President, Executive Creative Director, User Experience and Product Design, shared with the audience, "Comcast is in a very unique position to take all the incredible programming all the talented people in this room are creating and develop an experience that brings all of that content to consumers in a personal, beautiful way: an experience that was simply made for television."
