Comcast has taken another step to bolster the amount of content available for its Xfinity customers to watch on any device, at anytime and anywhere. Thanks to a new agreement between Comcast and Time Warner Inc., Xfinity customers will gain access to wide-ranging content from Turner Broadcasting Inc.'s (a Time Warner Co.) stable of networks via On Demand and online, including top rated shows and movies from TNT, TBS, CNN, HLN, truTV, Turner Classic Movies, Cartoon Network and Adult Swim. The content will appear on Xfinity TV online, Turner Web sites and Xfinity and Turner branded iPad, iPhone, and Android-based tablet and phone apps, and On Demand and online shortly after initial airing on Turner networks.
Also in the works for later this year, the two companies plan to deliver authenticated live streaming of Turner networks through both Comcast and Turner Web sites. This agreement builds on Comcast's announcement last month to offer live TV streaming on tablets in 2011 and nearly 3,000 hours of On Demand content on the iPad, and once again demonstrates the leadership role both companies have played in giving consumers more access to quality, on-demand content on any device.
Here's a small sample of some of the Turner content that will be available On Demand and online for Xfinity customer as a result of this deal:
- The Closer
- Men of a Certain Age

- Meet the Browns
