Less than a month away from the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month, I am thrilled that Comcast has yet again been named as one of the 50 Best Companies for Latinas to work for In the U.S. by LATINA Style magazine. This is the fourth consecutive year that this honor has been bestowed upon us and it’s one that we are very proud of as we continue to create opportunities for Latinas. There are thousands of Hispanic women who help make Comcast a success throughout the country and in all areas of our business, including Investor Relations, Programming, Comcast Interactive Media, Customer Care, Government Affairs, and in divisional operations and other business lines. This award will support our efforts in continuing to attract Latinas to join the Comcast family.

The magazine’s annual ranking identifies corporations that are providing the best career opportunities for Latinas in the U.S. and is considered to be a leading company evaluation on career advancement. This year, more than 800 corporations in the United States were included in LATINAStyle’s search that was narrowed down to the top 50 companies.

As a leading entertainment and technology company in America, I am glad to see that we are being recognized by LATINA Style as a company that is committed to creating and forging a diverse workforce.

An annual awards ceremony honoring the LATINA Style 50 Companies will take place on February 3, 2011, during LATINAStyle’s Diversity Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C. I hope to attend and be able to provide you with feedback and photos from the event. In the meantime, look out for more details in the current edition of LATINAStyle.
