Last week we celebrated the expansion of our Comcast Silicon Valley Innovation Center in Sunnyvale, California.  The expanded office was designed to meet the needs of our entrepreneurial culture – an open work space to foster innovation and collaboration, war rooms, innovation areas, game rooms, and plenty of snacks to keep our team focused and well-fed.

While the expanded work space is new, our Innovation Lab has been in Silicon Valley since 2008, and in its current location in Sunnyvale since 2011.  As our team grew from 60 employees to nearly 250 talented people - including engineers, product designers, and technology architects - we quickly outgrew our space.  The expanded Innovation Center not only provides a fun and collaborative work environment for our Bay Area engineering team, but it also offers a meeting place for our network of partners and clients across the industry.

The Innovation Center is part of Comcast's broader technology arm, Comcast Labs, which is focused on building new products that change how people connect to entertainment, information and their communities. In addition to Silicon Valley, Comcast Labs has development centers in Seattle, Philadelphia, Denver and Washington D.C.

Our open house was a great opportunity to share Comcast’s latest product innovations and officially cut the ribbon on our expanded office. I'm incredibly excited about our new space and the work that's being done here.
