No product demonstrates Comcast's ability to deliver the best entertainment experience more than the X1 platform. Now, the standard is about to be raised for all X1 users.  

Starting this week, all X1 users will be automatically upgraded to the latest version of X1’s next-generation user interface and guide if they haven’t already made the switch. Earlier this year, it become the de facto interface for all new X1 customers getting the platform in their home for the first time, while existing users were given the option to migrate to the new design beginning in February. 

The new interface is more elegant, intuitive and makes discovering content easier than ever before. For example, we added a new carousel to the guide that quickly filters what’s on by categories such as kids, movies, sports, favorites and trending. We also just announced some new enhancements such as Common Sense Media ratings integration, as well as Xfinity On Demand "badging" in the guide to denote that the same program airing live is also available for viewing On Demand. 

The X1 platform, which is available across 100 percent of Comcast’s markets, has set an industry standard for home entertainment, one that transcends traditional TV to deliver an immersive and personalized entertainment experience across all devices. The response from customers has been tremendous and we are now deploying it aggressively across our entire service area at a rate of nearly 20,000 boxes a day.   

X1's ability to evolve and improve is core to the platform's inherent cloud-based flexibility. Because of this, we're continually making improvements to X1, and we're excited to complete this transition so that all customers can enjoy the latest enhancements.
