The holiday season is in full swing, and while many shows are winding down their fall seasons this month, Xfinity TV customers will have enough holiday and end-of-year programming to keep them from missing new episodes of their favorite TV shows.
As the year comes to a close, we’re excited to launch the second annual Winter Watchlist -- a collection the best content of the year on Xfinity on Demand. Available in the featured section of the On Demand menu from December 21 – January 3, the collection features nearly a dozen specially curated playlists of TV, movies and music from our Xfinity TV editorial team – including a list combining TV, movies, music and people that defined entertainment this year called 50 Shades of Hot, plus The Best New TV Series of 2015, the Most Watched, 10 TV Game Changers, Best of Kids TV, the Top 10 Music Videos and more. During the week of December 28, we’ll also feature a special playlist offering a preview of programming we’re most excited about next year.
Need something festive to put up on your TV screen during your annual party? As a part of our Winter Watchlist, we’ve taken the classic Yule Log channel up a notch with 12 festive background programs. From Yule Dogs and Purrfect Presents – featuring puppies and kittens playing adorably in Christmas boxes – to Psychedelic Snowflakes that fills your screen with a snowflake lightshow and electronic Christmas carols – there’s a holiday background on Xfinity On Demand to suit every mood and personality.
We’ve also added a feature for kids who want to participate in the New Year’s Eve midnight festivities. With our Kids Countdown Clock, families can have their own countdown to 2016 without missing bedtime. Available in the Kids section of the On Demand menu, the program can be accessed starting December 29.
And no December is complete without a marathon of your favorite holiday movies. How many lines from your favorites have you memorized? The voice remote now recognizes quotes from more than 20 holiday titles, so test out your best Buddy the Elf impression or try out Buzz’s snarky one-liners from Home Alone and be taken to the movie page to watch. With more than 2.5 million voice remotes in the homes of our customers nationwide, finding the holiday classics has never been easier or more entertaining.
