Comcast is evolving and innovating at an exciting pace. As we continue to develop products and services to enhance our customer experience, our search for the right talent continues. Ensuring a positive experience with every engaged candidate is a vital component of the recruiting process and a differentiator in a competitive job market.
We are proud to announce for the second year in a row, Comcast has been awarded the CandE Award for 2016. The Candidate Experience Award recognizes the top 50 performing companies with the highest promotor ratings based on surveys from a broad cross-section of candidates including candidates who are not interviewed, candidates who are interviewed but not hired as well as candidates who are hired.
Hiring Managers, Human Resources, and Comcast Talent Acquisition professionals partner diligently - executing candidate focused hiring practices and providing candidates transparency via comcastcareers.com and our social media channels.
This year, a number of new enhancements, focused on the candidate experience, were introduced including:
Mobile Friendly Interview Itineraries
Newly designed, mobile friendly interview confirmations are sent to candidates detailing their interview itinerary including date/time, location, interviewer names/titles, and other helpful information.
5-Star Welcome Lounge
Upon arrival, candidates are directed to the revamped 34th floor reception lounge, where comfort meets technology. Recent updates include technology-enabled furniture that allow candidates to charge electronics, view our realistic job previews, interact with our Comcast apps through available iPads, and treat themselves to a snack.
Comcast Welcome Portal
The Comcast Welcome Portal is a personalized online portal that engages new hires with the Comcast brand. The portal features a welcome message from Brian Roberts, a to-do list that can be completed prior to start date, and in depth look into Comcast’s history and culture, as well as employee benefits.
White Glove Concierge Team
Candidate experience extends beyond the interviewing and hiring. Our newly created Onboarding Navigation Team supports new hires from the time they receive their offer through day 1 on the job to ensure a seamless transition. The onboarding team frequently follows-up with new hires during their first month to answer any questions they may have as they learn more about their new career home.
"Making customer experience our best product is the job of every Comcaster," notes Shelly Gross, Senior Director, Talent Acquisition. "We embrace that in Talent Acquisition by striving to provide a memorable candidate experience, which is the foundation of an awesome employee experience."
It’s an honor to receive the CandE Award, but our work isn’t done. As we continue to develop new ways to improve the candidate experience, let us know how we’re doing. Search jobs at ComcastCareers.com or drop by to say hello at any one of our @ComcastCareers social platforms.
