It was great to see FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski and Blair Levin – appointed by the Chairman to help develop a National Broadband Plan for Congress – joining the blogosphere with their new "Blogband" site which you can read more about in this PDF. (And they’re tweeting, too.)

Blair has assembled a group of truly fine minds – both from within the FCC and from the worlds of business, consulting, academia, and think tanks – to take a holistic view of the challenges (and opportunities) associated with "bringing broadband to unserved and underserved areas, increasing the number of Americans using broadband, and maximizing how broadband can be used to help address significant national issues."

Several weeks ago, we offered our thoughts on those questions in two FCC filings, and various experts from Comcast have been invited to participate in the workshops, including Jason Livingood.
