Today most of us will gather around the table with family and friends to enjoy a meal together. However, there are those less fortunate who cannot afford to put a holiday meal on their tables. In the spirit of giving, we want to highlight a special group of Comcast employees who will spend their Thanksgiving holiday helping those in need.
For the 18th consecutive year, Comcast employees in central New Jersey and their families will participate in an annual Thanksgiving tradition of preparing and delivering meals to needy families through a partnership with the Americana Diner in East Windsor, NJ. The Americana Diner closes for the day to prepare and donate all of the food. Comcast volunteers package the meals and our technicians deliver hot, traditional Thanksgiving dinners to hundreds of families throughout the Hightstown/East Windsor area in Comcast vehicles.
Many of our employees have made this volunteer initiative a part of their Thanksgiving Day for years, and for others it's the start of a new tradition. In either case, their work embodies the true meaning of Thanksgiving by serving those in need in our communities.
