Golden Globe winner and "Parks and Recreation" star Amy Poehler has signed a three-year producing deal with Universal Television.

Poehler has portrayed mid-level bureaucrat Leslie Knope for six seasons on NBC’s critically applauded sitcom that centers on the small-town government of Pawnee, Ind.

Poehler won the Golden Globe last Sunday as lead actress in a comedy for her role in "Parks and Recreation." She also served as co-host with Tina Fey on the NBC broadcast that brought in 21 million viewers, which was a 10-year high.

Poehler, who is also a producer on "Parks and Recreation," has also been Emmy Award-nominated four times for lead actress and once as writer for her work on the series.
