Public Policy

At Comcast, public policy issues affect our customers, our employees and our business every day. Traditional regulation and legislation are moving to keep up with the new reality of media and communications available across multiple platforms, on multiple devices — from traditional broadcast and cable, to delivery over the Internet and wireless. Each of the markets in which we operate is highly competitive.

Comcast’s primary businesses are closely regulated by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and all our companies are subject to general business oversight from government entities including the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the U.S. Department of Justice, as well as other federal, state and local regulatory and legislative entities.

We actively and positively work with policymakers, regulatory agencies and legislatures to show the real-world implications of public policy on consumers and on business.
