Major League Soccer’s Portland Timbers Adds New Era Tickets to Its Roster

The Portland Timbers Major League Soccer (MLS) club recently signed an agreement with New Era Tickets, the solution-driven, full-service ticketing subsidiary of Comcast-Spectacor, to provide customized ticketing services and marketing automation technology in Portland, OR. 

The Portland Timbers selected New Era Tickets because of the company’s unique blend of personalized service, industry expertise and technology solutions. New Era Tickets enables sports organizations to take back control of their ticketing services. The ticketing solution, provided by New Era Tickets’ sister company, Paciolan, will enable the Portland Timbers to control a variety of items, including branding, season ticket re-sales and fan data.

New Era Tickets’ customized ticketing solution for the Portland Timbers will integrate mobile ticketing, access control management systems, wireless ticketing technology, fraud prevention, fan loyalty cards, as well as automated and personalized digital fan communications.

New Era’s technology and expertise will now give the Portland Timbers the ability to launch a branded ticket marketplace that allows season ticketholders a convenient and secure method to resell tickets to games they cannot attend and to integrate mobile ticketing solutions to the Portland Timber’s website so that fans can purchase tickets online and utilize print-at-home technology. New Era Tickets’ access control solution will also enable the Portland Timbers to manage wireless ticketing technology across the entire venue and allow for ticket or member card scanning at entry points.

Through the agreement, the Portland Timbers have also selected to partner with New Era Tickets’ sibling company, FanOne Marketing, to grow and centralize the Portland Timbers’ fan database and send out highly targeted, automated digital communications designed to increase sales, enhance each fan’s experience and maximize fan loyalty.
