Steve Krom is the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Comcast’s West Division. In this role, Steve leads consumer marketing for XFINITY TV, Internet, Voice and Home. He also focuses on driving growth by investing in sales channel transformation and evolving the West Division’s customer acquisition, retention and segmentation strategies. Both Loyalty and Inbound Sales Centers of Excellence, which field customer calls across the division’s seven regions and 12 states, report into Steve.
With has more than 19 years of experience in the technology and telecommunications industries, Steve brings a tremendous professional depth and breadth to Comcast. Most recently, he was Vice President/General Manager for AT&T New England. In this role, he was responsible for all aspects of wireless and wired operations, including sales, marketing, customer care, network engineering and finance, and more than 2,500 employees. Steve’s responsibilities also included AT&T’s U-Verse operations in the state of Connecticut. Under his leadership, and with intense focus on building an inspired and engaged workforce, the New England Region moved from an under-performing market to one of the top performing and fastest growing markets within AT&T.
Prior to his most recent assignment, Steve held several leadership positions with AT&T, including Vice President Customer Lifecycle Management in the company’s West Region and Vice President/General Manager of the San Diego/Las Vegas markets. In addition, he served as Vice President – Business Marketing, Vice President – Product Development, and Vice President – Wireless Data and Internet Services with national responsibility for wireless business marketing, voice services, data services and Internet services management. He also served as Vice President of Marketing with national responsibility for wireless product development, product management, wireless data strategy, merchandising and customer communications.
Steve commenced his career with AT&T in 1994 as Director of Mobility Product Marketing. Before joining AT&T, he was a member of the product marketing team for EO, Inc., a Silicon Valley start-up company that introduced the first wireless Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) into the United States.
Steve has a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from Carnegie Mellon University.
