Madeline S. Bell has served as a director since February 2016. Ms. Bell was the President and CEO of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), one of the top-ranked children’s hospitals in the United States, from 2015 to 2026. Prior to being promoted to President and CEO, Ms. Bell served as CHOP’s Chief Operating Officer for eight years. Ms. Bell began her career as a pediatrics nurse and moved from a variety of different nursing roles into hospital administration in 1989, and holds a Master of Science degree in organizational dynamics. Ms. Bell serves on the board of the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics. She also serves on the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee and is a member of the Chamber’s CEO Council for Growth. She is the former Chair of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia’s Board of Directors, a fellow of The College of Physicians of Philadelphia, a member of The Economic Club of New York, and serves as the Honorary Consul of Spain.
